[September the 12th] |
It took nine very long months and six even longer hours, but she's finally here. Our daughter, Sadie Kay Thomas, was born today, healthy and happy as a clam. She'd say hello, but she's sleeping right now. After all, it was a big day for her. Me too, for that matter. We both deserve some sleep.
Night, everyone. If you want to visit, just give us a call, preferably in the morning. We really need someone to distract my mother for a few hours. Or the rest of my life. Either one.

My daughter is already a troublemaker, and she hasn't even been born yet. She gave us a pretty huge scare last night, but no worries, everything's fine now. I just... can't really move until she decides for certain when she wants to be born. Which, hopefully, is sooner rather than later. I hate bed rest. Not a huge fan of waiting, either.
The next few weeks are going to be unbearable.
